International Flower and Garden Festival

Spring is a great time to visit EPCOT. The crowds dwindle down after spring break and the weather is warm, but not too humid. It is also time for the International Flower and Garden Festival which consists, of topiary displays, seasonal treats, HGTV Desginers and my favorite, the Flower Power Concert Series. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth

Illuminations is 13-minute, nightly show that features lasers and fireworks set to an amazing score. It is Disney’s tribute to nations of the world. Show-times vary. But, they are generally at park closing each day. While, it can be viewed anywhere around the World showcase Lagoon, my favorite spots in the park are La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico and on the steps of the Mitsukoshi building in Japan. However, if you want a spot in these locations or some of the other prime locations around the lagoon, plan on getting there AT LEAST an hour early. Another favorite spot for me, if you are not at the park, is on the bridge that divides the EPCOT gateway from the Boardwalk-Beach Club Resorts. While you won’t be able to see all the effects, it is still a great place to see the fireworks.
